Why this exists
When a pet goes missing, the person who lost it and the person who found it are often looking in completely different places — different neighbourhood groups, different shelters, different websites. The information needed to connect them frequently exists on both sides already. It just never meets.
KCAI exists to make that meeting more likely, by comparing reports systematically instead of relying on someone happening to scroll past the right post.
What KCAI is not
- Not a government agency
- Not a law-enforcement system
- Not an official municipal database
- Not a replacement for contacting your local shelter or animal control
